Before there was a website, there was her room.

In a small bedroom in India, Rupal worked on jewelry and showed her designs to the people who came to see them. That room is part of our family’s memory of where this work began: close to home, shared face to face, and shaped by a love of Indian jewelry.

Thirty-five years of looking closely.

For 35 years, our mother has developed her craft in Indian jewelry design and manufacturing. The work lives in the details: the relationship between colors, the balance of a motif, the way a necklace sits, and the movement of an earring.

Experience becomes an eye for what belongs together. For Rupal, designing has been a practice built over decades — through making, refining, and returning to the work.

Kanthabharan also carries the work of the artisan team who make alongside her. Our jewelry comes from that collaboration: a designer’s vision and the skill of the hands that help bring it into being.

We want those people, and the care behind the finished piece, to remain part of its story.
